RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses using the course curriculum established by the Mathematics Department. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses, online/hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. Additional activities may include curriculum development, academic mentoring/advisement, support of college activities, service in committees and professional development
  • Qualifications:

    A doctorate in Mathematics or a Master's degree with earned 18 graduate hours in mathematics. Experience in teaching upper level undergraduate mathematics courses required. Prior college or university teaching experience and the ability to work with diverse groups of students will be preferred. Rank will depend on background and qualifications.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
