Job Summary

Talladega College invites applications for the position of Faculty Manager beginning January 2018.


The primary responsibilities of the faculty manager are to provide visionary and innovative leadership in the area of curriculum development and compliance in an effort to provide effective coursework and an exceptional experience to Talladega College students. The Faculty Manager will report directly to the Provost/VP of Academic Affairs. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Explore and make recommendations to implement technology in classes and programs.
  • Create, update, and implement policies and procedures for online courses and program including summer programs.
  • Ensure that best practices are being applied to individual online/distance education classes.
  • Give pedagogical advice to faculty for teaching online.
  • Work collaboratively with academic faculty to determine appropriate instructional methodologies and create learning environments by drawing on and integrating a range of learning resources including online resources, textbooks, supplemental reading, audio and video.
  • Review course evaluations and makes recommendations to faculty based on repeated student complaints/concerns.
  • Provide two face-to-face workshops on campus for faculty and students per academic year.
  • All other duties assigned by the Provost/VP of Academic Affairs.


Master's degree and experience managing online faculty and designing online courses.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
