Talladega College seeks a Computer Science or CIS faculty member for a tenure-track appointment beginning Fall 2020.

  • Responsibilities include teaching Programming, Database, Networking or Cybersecurity courses for non-majors and majors, including simulated labs as well as other introductory courses in the CS, CIS, and Cybersecurity curriculum.
  • As a faculty member, you'll provide practical hands-on instruction through our earning Management Systems (LMS) in an engaging learning environment, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies in order to enhance the learning experience of our students and achieve learning outcomes.
  • Other responsibilities include student academic advisement, maintaining office hours, and active participation in department and college service. Serve on department and college committees. Other academic duties as required.

Preferred Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field, with at least 18 graduate hours in Computer Science, or CIS from a regionally accredited educational institution. Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

Required master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science or closely related field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
