Description:

Responsibilities:
Drive in and out of state for the Athletic and other departments.
Keep current with federal and state transportation regulations.
Keep vehicles clean and maintained.
Maintain appropriate certifications and licenses.
Replace/stock supplies and maintain bathrooms on vehicles.
Reports emergency or imminent safety conditions to supervisor immediately.
Reports accidents immediately as they happen to supervisor and make sure accident reports are on file.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
CDL License with passenger endorsement and air brake certification. Excellent driving record as verified through the state MV department.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience with a transportation department.
Understanding of all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures that apply to use of multi-passenger vehicles.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Friendly, customer-oriented personality.
Must be physically able to maneuver the bus and assist passengers.
Must be willing to work shifts that vary from day to night and may start at a moment’s notice.
High school diploma or equivalent of education.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
