Duties: Maintain general ledger; reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis; verify cash receipts and disbursements to agree with bank statements of the College and prepare journal entries appropriately; assist internal/external auditors with preparation of audit schedules; inventory physical assets; prepare schedules for contributions and ensure proper recording of long and short term debt of the college; prepare schedules for funds in Trust and Estates; assist with reconciliation of receivables and accounts payable; prepare tax schedules; prepare special reports as needed; maintain /update policies and procedures manual. Respond to accounting questions from departments and operating units; maintain a pleasant and professional attitude in the daily contact with students, parents, faculty, staff and others.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting or closely related field. Master’s degree or CPA desirable. Knowledge of principles and practices of fund accounting in an academic environment. Ability to exercise critical human relations skills and analytical skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of various business software, as well as PC database software and mainframe computer.

Position Summary: The Database System Manager will assume overall responsibility for the management, administration, performance, reliability, integrity, and security of College’s student and administrative information system including JenzabarEX, PowerFAIDS, Infomaker and all other third party applications. This individual will coordinate with support group and application managers to ensure business objectives are met. This successful candidate will participate in all phases of project development life cycle including logical and physical database design reviews, process flow analysis, capacity management, availability management.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide technology support to the various users by performing installation of client software or other software, maintain user accounts, troubleshooting and answering basic software and hardware
2. Customize reports and application for users based on college priorities
3. Document all customizations made to reports and fields
4. Perform database maintenance functions including backup and restore, clearing logs, database structure and applications upgrades
5. Provide support to other areas of Information Technology as needed and other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Experience: This position requires at least 3-5 years of experience supporting complex database applications, preferably in education environment. This position requires a strong working knowledge of both Windows-compatible computers as well as detailed, deep knowledge of database design and management using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Access. Specific experience with Jenzabar EX, PowerFAIDS, Infomaker are major pluses.
Skills: Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills are also essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important. The candidate must be able to effectively interact with a diverse range of technical and non-technical personal computer users.
The Ronald McNair program is a federally funded Trio program designed to provide disadvantaged college students with effective preparation for doctoral study. The Talladega College McNair program specifically serves STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) students.
Responsibilities: The coordinator will be responsible for implementing the McNair program activities including research internships and student tracking. The coordinator maintains regular contact with faculty. Responsible for implementation of scholarly activities and GREworkshops. Responsible for development and implementation of undergraduate and graduate student financial aid planning. Additionally, the coordinator will devise career counseling and project-related services. Extensive record keeping of student involvement and travel to attend conferences with students throughout the year are required. .
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred. Experience working with educational programs for low-income, first generation students; demonstrated ability to relate well with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. The coordinator will also be proficient in computer technology and database management.

Responsibilities: The Director of Facilities is responsible for facilities planning, design, and construction; custodial and maintenance services, grounds, utilities, environmental health and safety, and ADA facilities compliance for all college facilities. The Director will develop and implement policies and procedures for operation and protection of college facilities, employees and students. Analyze and interpret all federal, state and local laws and other legislation regarding buildings, grounds, utilities, employee safety and public safety which affect the department and the college, and incorporates as necessary into existing policies, procedures and programs. Supervise custodial, grounds, maintenance, and trades staff. Plan and implement the organization of work, and appropriate training for department needs and requirements. Manage the department budgets including developing budget proposals, justifying expenses, monitoring accounts, approving expenditures and requesting transfers of monies. Propose capital projects for maintaining facilities. Assist other departments in proposing and costing of projects, and supervises work done on all facilities. Monitor all capital project monies, including monies assigned to campus executives. Plan and direct appropriate training for college safety and risk management requirements. Supervise college-wide ground maintenance. Maintain a work reception area and process to include prioritizing work requests and coordinating internal and external services. Plan and manage restoration and rehabilitation projects. Assess circumstances and recommend college closure for unsafe conditions. Ensure a safe work environment for subordinates and oversee construction set-ups for College special events.
Requirements and Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required, Master's preferred. Five- (5) years experience in a leadership position involved in providing services to a wide range of clients required. Experience must have included fiscal, supervisory, planning and evaluation responsibilities. Knowledge of functions performed in facilities operations and ability to direct those functions required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills. Must have strong customer-oriented attitudes and is a team player. This individual will greet all students with a professional and friendly demeanor who seek assistance from the Office of Student Financial Aid. This individual will collect financial aid data and prepare student records for review and delivery of financial aid, in addition to coordinating one on one counseling sessions as needed.
