The mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to provide opportunities for student engagement, learning and discovery in a diverse environment that will optimize their university experience and prepare them to serve a global community.
The Office of Student Affairs is responsible for many of the outside-the-classroom aspects of student life at Talladega College. Among these are student housing; health, wellness and counseling; activities, athletics, organizations and leadership development; residential life, intramurals and student activities.
In addition to facilitating student development and responsibility, the Office for Student Affairs will serve as an advocate for student interest. We value our diverse student population and strive to provide a variety of services, programs, and opportunities that meet students’ needs.
The Office of the Vice President manages the administrative functions of the Division of Student Affairs. The Vice President, Mrs. Jacqueline Paddio, is supported by the Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Anita Hawkes, Director of Housing, Mr. Ellis Wright, Chief of Security, Mr. Thurman Heath, Student Activities Director, Mr. Anthony Jones, Dean of Enrollment Management/ Admission Director/ Registrar, Dr. Floretta J. Dortch.
The office of the Vice President provides administrative leadership for the seven departments in areas including policy development, program development, budgeting and priority setting. The integrated efforts of all staff of the Office of the Vice President and the seven departments of the Division together support the student experience at the Talladega College.
