Talladega College Sweeps Basketball Player of the Week Honors

The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced Talladega College takes the top spots for the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Men and Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Shondel Stewart, a junior forward, takes the honor for his outstanding conference play. Senior Women's forward, Jamie Robinson, earned Player of the Week while leading her team to a 3-0 conference record.

For the first time in school history, Talladega College Men and Women's basketball programs are both nationally ranked. The Men's Basketball program has held steady in the top ten, and is currently ranked 8th in the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Women have quickly moved through the polls with a near perfect record and are currently ranked 10th according to the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
