Talladega, Alabama—Talladega College has launched its newest campaign, “Come Grow With Us in 2012, Building for the Future.” The College is aggressively recruiting to achieve its goal of 1,000 students in the fall. Every new first time freshman will receive a free laptop.

Enrolled students participated in recruitment efforts during the Health and Wellness Expo recently at Quintard Mall. The students and recruiters were on hand to discuss with prospective students and their families about the academic opportunities at Talladega College. Representatives with Talladega College’s FastTrack program, an accelerated degree program for adults, also attended the event.

This Saturday, the College will hold Transfer Day. All 2012 community college graduates are invited to come to the event on March 10, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in historic Swayne Hall. During Transfer Day, community college graduates will get to hear about the academic programs, extracurricular activities, campus organizations and more. All community college graduates are invited to come to this event with a copy of their unofficial transcript.

On Friday, March 16, the College will host High School Visitation Day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus. Interested students and their parents will have a chance to visit with academic advisors, deans, instructors, officials, and enrolled students at the College. If prospective students and their families miss that opportunity, Open House will be held on Friday, March 30th. During that visit, prospective students will be entertained comedian Steve Brown. Steve Brown, a Stillman College graduate, has been a favorite on Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam, Comic View on BET, and the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
