The Student Health Services Center is located on the first floor of Arthur D. Shores Hall. It is staffed by a full-time registered nurse who treats minor ailments and injuries. When physicianís services are needed the nurse will refer students to the local medical offices for evaluation. The nurse will also transport students to the local medical offices. Citizenís Baptist Medical Center (the local hospital) is used for serious illnesses and accidents.
When a student becomes ill he/she should notify the Resident Manager, who will contact the nurse or campus police. If it is an emergency paramedics are called with no hesitation.
All enrolled students at Talladega College are expected to have a medical form on file prior to entering Talladega College.
Throughout the school year the Health Center sponsors wellness workshops in the residence halls that will greatly benefit our students.
