Dr. Myles brings over 32 years of educational leadership—from Pre-K through higher education—to Talladega College. Appointed by President-Select Dr. Willie L. Todd Jr., he most recently served as Provost and Executive Vice President at Denmark Technical College.
At Denmark Tech, he launched the Center for Student Excellence and Panther Pathways, introduced the Identity Formation Initiative, established a Security Operations Center and Clean Tech Apprenticeship Program, and secured a $10 million clean energy grant. He managed nearly $100 million in competitive grants and contracts that expanded academic offerings and diversified revenue.
Previously, Dr. Myles held leadership and faculty roles at HBCUs and Predominantly Black Institutions across six states. He is a Fellow of the White House Initiative on HBCU Contracting Competitiveness Academy, founding director of the HBCU Learning Ecosystem, and has led accreditation efforts with SACSCOC and AdvancED.
He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Virginia Tech, M.A. in Adult Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and B.F.A. from North Carolina A&T State University. He is a member of 100 Black Men of America and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
