Dr. Monique Gardner Witherspoon is currently associate dean and an associate professor in the Educational Leadership Department, Orlean Beeson School of Education at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She is also the secretary of the Talladega College Board of Trustees. Previously she served as CEO of Girls Incorporated.
Dr. Gardner Witherspoon earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Gardner Webb University, an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University, an M.Ed. in Counseling from South Carolina University. She has authored numerous publications and presented at local, national, and international conferences.
Dr. Gardner Witherspoon has been actively engaged in community organizations such as United Way, Jack and Jill of Birmingham, MOMENTUM, and others. She is Immediate Past President of the Birmingham chapter of The Links, Inc.
