Russell Holloway '70

Mr. Russell Holloway is an education advocate with a deep love for Talladega College.

Mr. Holloway retired from Duke University, where he served as Associate Dean of Corporate and Industry Relations at the Pratt School of Engineering from 2000 to 2016.

While at Duke, Mr. Holloway secured industry-supported research agreements of $25 million secured funding and materials to build the Home Depot Smart Home live-in laboratory. Prior to working for Duke, he spent 13 years with Roses Stores and Variety Wholesalers in several positions, including Director of Information Processing. Mr. Holloway also served as Senior Manager, Systems Management and Support at Clark Information Systems and was a Technical Support Supervisor and Systems Programmer at General Foods Corporation – Midwest Data Center and a Programmer for General Motors Corporation in the mid-1970s.

Mr. Holloway served in the United States Navy from 1971-1974. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Talladega College and a Master of Arts from Duke University.

He is married to Dr. Karla Clapp F.C. Holloway, ’71.
