Responsibilities
·The successful candidate will work collaboratively with college faculty and staff, as well as host teachers from surrounding school districts.
·Must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as represent the program on university committees.
·Must demonstrate a willingness to collaborate and co-teach across departments.
·A desire to interact and work with students in the capacity to advise, mentor and help with field experience is necessary.
·Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Ph. D in Reading preferred or related field with specialization in reading and will have a minimum of three years teaching experience in an elementary education setting. A criminal background check is required before employment and must be able to secure an Alabama Teaching Certificate.
