Talladega College Appoints Faith Renee’ Spells as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services

Talladega College proudly announces the appointment of Faith Renee’ Spells as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services. A distinguished higher education professional with more than 20 years of experience in academic operations, student services, and institutional effectiveness, Spells brings a visionary and student-centered approach to enrollment management. In her new role, she will oversee recruitment, admissions, and retention efforts to strengthen enrollment outcomes and support student success at Alabama’s oldest private historically Black college.

A native of Cordova, South Carolina, Spells is a graduate of Voorhees College (now Voorhees University), where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Her career includes impactful roles at Denmark Technical College, Claflin University, and Education Affiliates. Spells has led initiatives that improved admissions workflows, enhanced student engagement, and advanced institutional goals in compliance, equity, and data-driven decision-making. Most recently, she served as Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Denmark Technical College, where she oversaw strategic planning and accreditation support.

Spells holds two MBA degrees—one in Business Administration and another in Human Resources and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
