Kristayvion Johnson lands major internship with the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama

Kristayvion Johnson, a senior majoring in mass communications, has been selected for an internship with the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama (CFNEA).

CFNEA is a qualified 501(c)(3) public charity recognized by the Alabama attorney general and the Internal Revenue Service. The Foundation is a family of funds that serve as a permanent endowment for the benefit of residents in its geographic area within northeast Alabama.

The Foundation has been a philanthropic partner since 1999 and provides services to over 500,000 residents in nine counties.

Johnson said he is ecstatic about working with CFNEA and feels that serving in this position is significant to his educational growth. “I truly enjoy philanthropy,” said Johnson.

“This opportunity affords me the chance to take the theories that I have learned in class and actually apply them in real settings.”

Johnson aspires to someday develop a foundation that assists Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) procure funding for athletic programs.
