Mr. Earl Warren Named Talladega College Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Talladega, AL—Talladega College President Dr. Gregory J. Vincent has named Mr. Earl Warren as Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

Warren comes to Talladega from Jacksonville State University (JSU) where has served as Director of University Development since 2006. While at Jacksonville, led two highly successful capital campaigns that raised over $90 million. The most recent was “Deeply Rooted, Future Driven,” a five-year $55 million campaign that ended in 2020. 

Prior to his tenure at Jacksonville State University, Warren was CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Alabama and Southeast Regional Service Director of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. 

Talladega College President Gregory Vincent said, “We are honored to have Mr. Warren join the administrative team at Talladega. As the director of development for a public university ranked this year as one of top 50 universities in the South, he brings the talent and skills needed to help us strengthen Talladega’s institutional advancement efforts and fundraising capabilities. With his assistance, Talladega College can meet its strategic goals and develop a first-class experience for all students.”

Warren joins the Talladega College team on May 1, 2023. He is a two-time graduate of JSU, earning a Master of Science in Sports Management.  He was a member of the 1985 Division II National Championship Basketball Team and was inducted into the JSU Hall of Fame in 2016. After college, he did a four-year tour of duty in the U.S. Army where he was named Army Athlete of the Year in 1989.

Founded in 1867, Talladega College is Alabama’s first private historically black liberal arts college. The institution was recognized as #13 in the nation for social mobility by U.S. News and World Report in 2022 and named one of Princeton Review’s 2023 Best Colleges Region by Region.
