Talladega College is launching its new AI Educator Program, an innovative initiative designed to equip leaders across diverse educational sectors with cutting-edge artificial intelligence skills. Offered through the College’s Workforce Development and Adult Learning Program, the series is created in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to foster practical expertise and foster workforce alignment.
The program kicks off on November 2, 2026, with its foundational course, AI Foundations for Educators. Tailored for K–12 educators and administrators, church and community educators, workforce and corporate trainers, as well as higher education faculty and associated professionals, the curriculum addresses the growing need for digital literacy and practical AI integration.
In the initial course, participants will explore generative AI tools, prompt engineering, ethical AI use, and strategies to leverage AI to boost productivity and creativity in educational environments. Delivered fully online, the course combines synchronous lectures, interactive tutorials, and guest lectures from industry experts to deliver a dynamic learning experience.
"Our efforts at Talladega College are deeply focused on creating meaningful workforce alignment through AI education," said A. Clifton Myles, provost and executive vice president of Talladega College. "This program helps educators and community members build confidence and practical skills to create real-world impact in their respective fields."
Following the introductory course, Talladega College will offer a second specialized course, AI Application Development with Amazon Quick, set to launch on January 11, 2027. This follow-up module will allow participants to deepen their technical skills and build custom AI-driven solutions.
Registration is now open for the upcoming November session. For more information about the AI Educator Program or to enroll, please visit talladega.edu/ai-certification.
