Talladega College joins the worldwide AWS Academy community

Talladega College has been approved to join the AWS Academy, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) program that provides higher education institutions with a ready-to-teach cloud computing curriculum.
The curriculum helps educators stay at the forefront of AWS Cloud innovation so that they can equip students with the skills they need to get hired in one of the fastest-growing industries.
“We embrace the mindset of changing with the times, creating new knowledge, and setting trends for the success of students in the demographic that we serve,” said Dr. Lisa Long, acting president of Talladega College.
The Academy is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 200 fully-featured services from data centers globally.
“The Academy will provide our students with the necessary tools that are essential to thriving not only at the local level but also globally,” said Long.
Talladega College is in the early phases of the program.
