(Talladega, AL) Talladega College named Dr. Brittany A. Holloman as its new deputy athletic director and director of the Dr. Herman Long Scholar Athlete Program. She will also serve as an assistant professor of education in the Eunice Walker Johnson Division of Social Sciences and Education.

"I am grateful to President Vincent and Coach Grant for the opportunity to experience Talladega College and participate in their vision for this great institution. I look forward to building championship teams while developing holistic student-athletes that dominate inside of the classroom and in their respective sports."
Her distinctive career paths and dedication to student success resonate with the College's mission to equip its graduates for the global community through academic excellence, moral values, community service, and professional development.
"Dr. Holloman has proven to be an effective leader who will champion the school and serve as a progressive advocate for student-athletes," said Michael Grant, vice president/director of athletics/recreation and wellness for Talladega College.
Holloman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Stillman College, a Master of Science degree in urban and regional planning with a concentration in environmental planning from Alabama A&M University (AAMU), and a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in higher education from Jackson State University.
She recently served as the interim associate vice president of student affairs and judicial appeals at AAMU. She also served as an adjunct instructor, program coordinator, and executive assistant to the president.
Before joining AAMU, she served her alma mater, Stillman College, as an admissions recruiter and coordinator for the scholarship office. While in this capacity, she helped lead the college in increasing student enrollment and retention. Before transitioning into higher education, Holloman worked with the United States Forest Service as a forestry and wildlife technician.
Dr. Holloman is active in several professional, civic, and social organizations. In her spare time, she operates a blog, Real Talk with Dr. Bee, where she focuses on informing, inspiring, and encouraging individuals on their journey through academia. Holloman is also the chief executive officer/founder of the Holloman Foundation and regularly hosts a brunch series titled Brunch with Brittany.
