Talladega College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Charles E. Stallworth as Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students. An accomplished higher education administrator with extensive experience in student affairs, enrollment management, institutional advancement, and academic leadership, Dr. Stallworth brings a proven record of fostering student success and advancing institutional excellence.
A native of Opp, Alabama, Dr. Stallworth was raised in nearby Evergreen and graduated with honors from Hillcrest High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English, graduating summa cum laude from Miles College.
After beginning his professional career in marketing and corporate America, Dr. Stallworth entered higher education in 2011 as an English instructor at Miles College. Throughout his tenure, he served in a variety of roles, including Assistant Professor of English, Director of the First and Second Year Enrichment Programs in the Office of Strategic Initiatives, Director of Alumni Affairs, Director of Annual Fund in the Office of Institutional Advancement, and Coordinator of the Quality Enhancement Plan.
Dr. Stallworth later served as Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Miles College before being appointed Vice President of Enrollment Management in 2023. Most recently, he served as Executive Administrator in the Office of the Provost. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Higher Education from Jackson State University.
Talladega College President Dr. Willie L. Todd, Jr. said Dr. Stallworth's experience and commitment to student success make him an outstanding addition to the College's executive leadership team.

As Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Dr. Stallworth will provide strategic leadership for student life, student engagement, student conduct, wellness initiatives, and other programs that support the holistic development and success of Talladega College students.

Dr. Stallworth will begin his new role effective July 15 and will work closely with campus leadership to enhance student engagement, strengthen student support services, and advance initiatives that promote academic achievement, leadership development, and student well-being.
