Talladega College is proud to announce the institution raised an impressive $102,820 on Giving Tuesday. The funds will be allocated to support the campus Food Pantry & Career/Resource Closet, the renowned Great Tornado Band, and scholarships for deserving students.
Giving Tuesday, a global day of charitable giving, took place on November 28, 2023. Talladega College rallied its students, faculty, staff, alumni, supporters, and friends to contribute to the cause.
Dr. Gregory J. Vincent, President of Talladega College, expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support, stating, "We are deeply grateful for the remarkable generosity shown by our community on Giving Tuesday. The funds raised will have a profound impact on our campus initiatives and will enable us to continue providing essential resources to our students. This remarkable display of support underscores the unwavering commitment to our mission of empowering students to succeed."
Earl Warren, vice president of Institutional Advancement, said, "The success of our Giving Tuesday campaign is a testament to the dedication and philanthropic spirit of our supporters. Their contributions will directly benefit our students and enhance their overall Talladega College experience. We are immensely thankful for each and every gift.”
