Talladega College hosted an exclusive virtual masterclass featuring acclaimed actress, writer, director, and producer Yolonda Ross on Monday, June 29. The interactive session offered students, aspiring creatives, and members of the campus community a unique opportunity to engage with one of the entertainment industry's most accomplished multidisciplinary artists.

An award-winning performer and storyteller, Ross has built an extraordinary career spanning film, television, theater, directing, writing, and visual arts. She is a two time Film Independent Spirit Award nominee and Gotham Award winner whose work includes acclaimed performances in Stranger Inside, Go for Sisters, The Chi, American Gigolo, The Get Down, Treme, and How to Get Away with Murder. In addition to her acclaimed acting career, Ross has earned recognition as a writer, director, producer, and visual artist, with her work featured by the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

During the virtual masterclass, Ross shared insights from her creative journey, discussed the evolving entertainment industry, and encouraged participants to pursue artistic excellence through authenticity, innovation, and perseverance.
