PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH

April 16, 2025

Dear Talladega College Community,

The two finalists for Talladega College president will meet with students, faculty, staff and alumni on Monday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 22. Reminders of the times and locations of the meetings will be emailed to the College community.

The two candidates were selected with the assistance of a presidential search committee chaired by Dr. Monique Gardner Witherspoon, a member of Talladega’s Board of Trustees and associate dean and associate professor in the Orlean Beeson School of Education at Samford University.

The two finalists are:

  • Mr. Perry D. Jones - Board Chair of HBCU CARES and Former President of North American Supply and Procurement for Diageo
  • Dr. Willie Todd, Jr. - President of Denmark Technical College
Thanks to all who have played a role in this very important process.

Dear Talladega Community,

The search process for the 22nd President of Talladega College is underway. A Search Committee representing all campus constituents including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the Talladega Board of Trustees has been named. The search committee will review all applicants, identify candidates for interviews, and recommend individuals to the Talladega Board of Trustees, who will make the final selection. To recruit the best candidates, the search will remain confidential throughout the process until the finalists arrive on campus.

We have retained POLIHIRE, an executive search firm and consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., with a national focus and perspective. The candidates will be selected with the help of the Presidential Search Committee.

If you have questions about the search process, please send a note to the Talladega College email dedicated to the search: TalladegaPresident@polihire.com
. The search committee or its representative will respond to your inquiry.
