Talladega College is proud to announce that award-winning actress, filmmaker, playwright, and educator T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh will serve as a Visiting Artist during the College's inaugural Summer Institute of Dramatic Arts, bringing more than three decades of professional experience in television, film, theater, and arts education to aspiring performers.
Keymáh, best known for her memorable roles on In Living Color, Cosby, and That's So Raven, will join the five-week intensive program from July 6 through July 19, leading master classes, mentoring students, and participating in a special public Legacy Interview exploring her remarkable career and artistic journey.
"The Summer Institute of Dramatic Arts reflects how we are reimagining liberal arts education by giving students direct access to accomplished artists whose experiences inspire excellence," said Dr. Willie L. Todd, Jr., President of Talladega College. "We are honored to welcome T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh to the Talladega family."
The Summer Institute of Dramatic Arts, held June 13 through July 19, provides emerging artists with immersive training in acting, movement, performance, and professional development while connecting students with accomplished artists working at the highest levels of the entertainment industry.
During her residency, Keymáh will lead interactive workshops and creative experiences centered on advanced acting methodologies, theatrical performance, artistic expression, and professional development in the performing arts. She will also provide individualized coaching and mentorship to participants throughout the program.

"Our students will have the extraordinary opportunity to learn from an accomplished performer whose career spans television, film, theater, writing, directing, and teaching. Her residency reflects our commitment to providing transformational experiences that prepare students for success on the stage and beyond."
In addition to her acclaimed acting career, Keymáh is an accomplished director, playwright, and independent filmmaker whose work has earned national recognition. She is currently pursuing graduate studies in Performance and Pedagogy and Fine Arts at Texas Tech University while continuing to teach and develop the next generation of artists. Her distinguished career includes more than 25 films, over 50 theatrical productions, extensive voice acting work, and decades of presenting her acclaimed "Tools of the Trade" actor preparation workshops.
As part of her residency, Keymáh will participate in a Legacy Interview, an engaging fireside conversation open to the public where attendees will gain insight into her career, creative process, and experiences in the entertainment industry. The special event will also feature opportunities for audience questions and discussion.
