Job Summary


Talladega College seeks academically qualified and experienced adjunct instructors for teaching opportunities with Talladega College.


  • Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning experiences with course competencies in ASL curriculum.
  • Provide proactive support for all facets of the Talladega College learning environment.
  • Successful completion of the Talladega College Online Certification Training course.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work with students on a daily basis.
  • Allocate approximately 10-15 hours per course per week.
  • Develops an understanding of and maintains a commitment to the mission of the college.
  • Prepare classroom materials.
  • Check in on course frequently at a minimum of once every 48 hours.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in class.
  • Regularly check in with Faculty Manager regarding any course issues.
  • Meet college grading deadlines and maintain compliance with faculty minimum guidelines.


  • Online teaching experience, preferably using Jenzabar.
  • A minimum of a master's degree in discipline or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
  • Expertise in the subject area of the course.
  • Successfully complete online training program

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
