Position Summary

Drive a global safety culture by effectively communicating an enhanced vision, accountability and metrics across the organization to ensure meaningful improvement on safety during this Covid-19 crisis!

  • Directs prevention and control of the transmission of Covid-19 programs such as: protocols & plans, best practices and documentation.
  • Develops evidence-based/informed infection prevention and control policies and procedures
  • Identifies and implements infection prevention and control strategies and education of staff related to all of the following: environmental pathogens and potential outbreaks
  • Oversees cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection procedures
  • Provides direct supervision and oversight of Covid-19 Program
  • Health screen, temp reading, contact tracing programs
  • Identifies and evaluates appropriate practices
  • Collaborates with others to assess problems, etc.
  • Performs audits and potential need for reprocessing and/or re-education of staff
  • Work with HR to conduct training sessions on various risk/safety items and develop risk/safety related resource materials
  • Support acquisition and integration teams on insurance and risk management matters
  • Handle other requests in support of risk management/safety functions
  • Advise administrative team and operators on business and transactional risk matters
  • Claim Management – supervise claim management, resolve high profile claims and support team
  • Risk Management – counsel administrative team, and senior operators on risk issues and mitigation strategies
  • Identifies and evaluates critical steps of disinfection, sterilization, and storage protocols
  • Assists with fulfillment of mission of the organization
  • Directs education and communications
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s Degree in a related Safety Field. Preferred experience overseeing a Safety and Risk Management Program for an industry leading company is a plus. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and OSHA Training is preferred.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
