Job Summary

The Division of Business Administration seeks an academically qualified and experienced Accounting instructor for teaching opportunities with the Division of Business Administration with Talladega College.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching, research and service requirements as designated by the college/ division Dean.
  • Advising students with as instructed by the Department Chair.
  • Teaching a 5/5 load for the academic year.
  • Participate in academic advising and students’ recruitment.
  • Be available for registration, convocations, and graduation ceremonies.
  • Follow schedule of classes offered in the department each semester.
  • Serve on division and college committees.
  • Be willing to work with student organizations as an advisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair, Dean or Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business required with 18 hours in Accounting. Terminal degree in area of teaching preferred.
  • New graduate and some years of teaching experience.
  • Professionally (CPA) qualified
  • Online teaching experience, preferably using Canvas as technology platform.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
