                                                    Gathering



                                                             of



                                              UNCF Presidents





















        Talladega College President Dr. Billy C. Hawkins, who serves as United Negro College Fund (UNCF) chair of the
        presidents of member institutions, hosted a gathering of UNCF college presidents.  The presidents were transported
        to campus by bus from Birmingham, AL, where they were attending the UNCF Fall Meeting.  The Talladega College
        Marching Band performed as Talladegans lined the streets to welcome the guests.  The presidents toured the new,
        45,000-square-foot residence hall as well as the construction sites of both the new student center and the Dr. William
        R. Harvey Museum of Art. The evening concluded with a dinner and a performance by the Talladega College Choir.

        McNealey.  Others in attendance included retired Tougaloo College President Dr. Beverly Wade Hogan, Jarvis
        Christian College President Dr. Lester C. Newman, Tennessee State University President Dr. Glenda Glover, retired
        Wiley College President Dr. Haywood L. Strickland, and former Huston-Tillotson President Dr. Larry L. Earvin, who
        serves as SACSCOC Chief of Staff.
