Talladega Named $10,000 TIAA Innovation Award Recipient to Support Success of First-Generation College Students

FirstGen Forward announced in May that Talladega College was awarded the $10,000 TIAA Innovation Award. The grant was awarded to the College in recognition of its innovative efforts to support the success of first-generation college students. Talladega was one of five institutions from across the nation to earn the award.

Dr. Willie L. Todd Jr. Named 22nd President of Talladega College

The Talladega College Board of Trustees announced today that they voted unanimously to name Dr. Willie L. Todd Jr. the 22nd president of Talladega College. Todd has served as the president and chief executive officer of Denmark Technical College (DTC) in Denmark, South Carolina since 2020.

Talladega College to Confer Three Honorary Degrees at 150th Commencement Exercises

Talladega College will confer three honorary degrees at its milestone 150th Commencement Exercises at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025 in the Student Activity Center Arena. To be honored with Doctors of Humane Letters are William J. Bynum, Rockell Metcalf ‘85 and S. Epatha Merkerson who will also serve as commencement speaker.
