Talladega College Names Janay Yancey Women's Volleyball Head Coach

Talladega College athletic director Andre Payne has announced the appointment of Janay Yancey as the new head coach of the Tornadoes’ women’s volleyball program. Yancey comes to Talladega from the University of Tennessee Southern where she spent two seasons as the head coach.

Incoming first-year Talladega College students now have access to a new United Negro College Fund (UNCF) scholarship. Students can apply for the Dr. Michael L. Lomax Endowed Scholarship named in honor of UNCF’s president and CEO.

Talladega Named $10,000 TIAA Innovation Award Recipient to Support Success of First-Generation College Students

FirstGen Forward announced in May that Talladega College was awarded the $10,000 TIAA Innovation Award. The grant was awarded to the College in recognition of its innovative efforts to support the success of first-generation college students. Talladega was one of five institutions from across the nation to earn the award.
