  1. Perform all major office typing using word processing.
  2. Collect and log daily mail.
  3. Answer telephone and channel calls.
  4. Process all forms. (i.e. verification, certification)
  5. Alphabetize/file grade rosters.
  6. Assume responsibility for general office filing.
  7. Assist with over-the-counter and telephone concerns.
  8. Inventory and order office supplies.
  9. Assist with pre-registration and registration.
  10. Supervise work-study students.
  11. Assist with grade entry and data entry.
  12. Prepare minutes of all meetings conducted by the Registrar.
  13. Assist in preparing and distributing faculty rosters, Information Guides and
    Enrollment Information.
  14. Process all transcripts and keep a daily log and file of transcript
  15. Follow policies and procedures that ensure that student and class record data is entered, processed, and stored properly.
  16. Maintains office files and student records including retrieval and archiving of documents.
  17. Makes decisions within guidelines in response to student, faculty, administrators and customers inquiries in the absence of the Registrar.
  18. Process clearinghouse requests of student loan deferment, and verification of student attendance and/or graduation.
  19. Gathers and organizes information from graduation candidates, prepares diploma order, regalia, etc.
  20. Other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required. Must have the ability to work under pressure and facilitate multiple detailed tasks. At least one to three years of experience in office structure. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must exhibit professionalism, integrity and confidentiality. Must have excellent skills in MS Word, data entry, filing and record keeping procedures. Ability to follow directions and be attentive to detail; outstanding organizational skills; ability to maintain confidentiality of records and administrative office matters; flexible and adaptable as need may arise.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
