Description:

JOB SUMMARY:
To administer and manage information and security for all student records, including, but not limited to,
course registrations, grades, and graduation requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Administers and supervises all regular functions of registrar's office, including hiring, training,
and performance evaluation of all department staff.
2. Prepares annual budget for registrar's office and monitors ongoing department expenses.
3. Maintains high level of security of student record database, and upgrades system as necessary
according to changing technology and changing needs of the college.
4. Follows all college recordkeeping policies and government regulations including the Family
Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
5. Develops class schedules, and supervises class registration procedures.
6. Records student grades and maintains records of credits earned toward degree requirements.
Prepares lists of candidates eligible for degrees and is responsible for graduation ceremonies
and programs. .
8. Works to resolves any disputes over academic records in a fair and equitable manner.
9. Supplies transcripts in response to requests from students, alumni or authorized college personnel.
10. Supervises preparation of college information documents, including catalogs, brochures,
applications, and class registration forms.
11. Participates as a member of the college long-range planning committee.
12. Counsel and assist advisors with students and academic problems.
13. Provide grade-point averages for the Athletic Department. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
2. At least 3 years of experience in college-level administration.
3. Good working knowledge of database and administrative software programs.
4. Ability to prepare and monitor departmental budgets.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Demonstrated managerial abilities to direct department staff.
7. Ability to work as a team member as part of the long-range planning committee.
