Welcome to Housing and Residence Life at Talladega College. The Residence Life Staff will strive to make your stay exciting and enjoyable. To help promote a healthy atmosphere conducive to living and learning, there are policies and procedures that have been established. We expect all of our residents to demonstrate mutual respect for one another.

Qualifications For On-Campus Housing 

In addition to completing your college application, a Housing application must be completed. Students must be accepted to the college before housing is assigned. A student qualifies for on-campus housing upon completion of registration with a course schedule of 12 or more semester hours. Students who are not registered will not be permitted to move into the residence hall, eat in the cafeteria, or attend classes. Residents who drop below full-time status (12 semester hours) or withdraw must notify the Housing Office and follow the appropriate check-out procedure.
No Student Can Qualify For On-Campus Housing Until He/She Has Completed All Registration Requirements. 
 

Following is a listing of our residence halls:

  • Crawford Hall, constructed in 1968, is named for George W. Crawford, Class of 1900, an attorney from New Haven, Connecticut.
 
  • Honors House 803 was constructed in the 1890's. Formerly a staff residence, it was renovated and converted in 1992.
  • Ish Hall, constructed in 1963, was named for Jefferson Ish, Class of 1907, who at the time of his death was a member of the Board of Trustees.
  • Senior Grove, constructed in 1993, consists of three buildings. The units are accessible for the physically disabled and fire-protected with a sprinkler and fire alarm system, which is linked to the college's police department.
  • Juliette Derricotte House, built in 1940-41, was the gift of the Harkness Foundation and named for Juliette Derricotte, Class of 1918, who at the time of her death in 1932 was a member of the Board of Trustees. Formerly a staff residence and guest house.
  • Arthur D. Shores Hall, constructed in 1974, is named for Arthur D. Shores, Class of 1927, who served for many years as a member and chairman of the college Board of Trustees.
  • A ribbon-cutting ceremony was recently held for Talladega's newest residence, which opened in January, 2019.

New Student, Transfer, and Readmit Students Application: This form is for only new students, transfers, and readmit students attending Talladega College. 
*Students who are considered readmits have not been a registered student with the institution for 1 semester or more. 
 
Renewal Form Application: This form is for students who lived on campus for the entire Fall 2020 - Spring 2021 semester only. 
*If you did not live on campus for the entire Fall 2020- Spring 2021 academic school year, please fill out a new student, transfer, and readmit application.
 
Off-Campus Application: This form is for students who currently or will be living off-campus. 
*If you decided to live on campus and then realize on-campus living is not for you and move off-campus, you must fill this form out before you check out of your residence hall. Please also be aware you may be charged a prorated amount from the time you lived on campus to the time you moved off. 

Resident Assistant ApplicationThis form is for students who are interested in serving as a Resident Assistant within the Residence Life & Housing Department.
