Public Relations and Marketing


The Office of Public Relations and Marketing protects and promotes the Talladega College brand and brings greater visibility and recognition to the College as a national and international leader in higher education. This mission is accomplished by building sound relationships with constituencies and public groups, including the media, federal and local governments, and the community. Responsibilities of this office include writing news releases, feature stories and advertising messages about the college; maintaining the College's website and official social media channels; approving college and departmental brochures; producing photo and video content; and managing media relations.

Resources for Journalists

  • Photography:  Provides photography and video footage of campus news and events.
  • Interviews:  Schedules media interviews.
  • News Releases and Statements: Distributes news releases to media outlets. Journalists interested in being added to the email list should contact msood@talladega.edu. 
  • Campus Visits:  Journalists interested in coming to the campus should contact the Office of Public Relations and Marketing in advance to schedule a visit. The Office will provide assistance with parking and securing interviews.

Resources for the Campus 

The Office of Public Relations and Marketing supports faculty and staff in the areas of external and internal communications, media relations, and use of social media.  Services include promoting student, staff and faculty achievements, supporting fundraising initiatives and campus events and activities.

  • Photography Services: To request photography, fill in and submit a News Submission Form.
  • News releases: Faculty and staff should submit a News Submission Form to the Office of Public Relations and Marketing to coordinate all releases to the media.
  • Brochures and other print materials: Faculty and staff should submit a Marketing Service Request Form to the Office of Public Relations and Marketing.
