Job Summary


Talladega College Fast Track degree-completion program allows working adults the opportunity to complete a bachelor's degree in business in an accelerated format. This exciting program is cohort – based where learners remain within their small group either on-line or in the classroom. The Director reports to the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs and will manage all degree-completion program aspects in cooperation with appropriate department heads and administrative office directors.


  • Develops and implements program recruitment and retention goals and operational plans for meeting them.
  • Recruit faculty-facilitators for the program in cooperation with the appropriate department heads and Business Dean.
  • Supervise the revision and development of the adult learner curriculum in cooperation with the appropriate faculty facilitators.
  • Develops marketing plan, holds information meetings, follow-up telephone and e-mail correspondence.
  • Coaches prospective learners through the admissions process.
  • Schedule all classes planned for the year.
  • Supervises the evaluation of the curriculum and instruction, assuring quality control.
  • Prepares monthly reports for the Provost on program recruitment/retention profiles.
  • Supervise advertising of the program, recruitment, and admission of adult learners.
  • Prepare promotional literature for the program.
  • Assist personnel in the Fast Track program office.
  • Represent the program to campus and community groups.


Bachelor's degree required; master's degree or doctorate preferred. Skills in organizational management supervision and program promotion. Highly desired: Experience in teaching adults or background in Continuing Education. Sound administrative skills; well-developed management skills, and strong interpersonal skills; including excellent leadership and teamwork skills required. Proven ability to recruit and motivate personnel in order to balance strength with growth of the program.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
