Job Summary

Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of the office; serve as principal and confidential assistant; maintain legal files and records; coordinate meetings, maintain travel, daily schedules, and appearances; prepare minutes of Board meetings; act independently providing information and/or referrals; facilitate communications between various constituent groups; represent the president with internal and external communities, additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

BA degree in higher education administration or policy studies or the equivalent of at least 5 years' experience required in college environment or supervisory experience. Ability to work under pressure and facilitate multiple detailed tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professionalism, integrity and confidentiality a must. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Salary: 47K to 50K annually with all qualifications listed in description.

The history of Talladega College began on November 20, 1865, when two former slaves William Savery and Thomas Tarrant, both of Talladega, met in convention with a group of new freedmen in Mobile, Alabama.
